more buttons and another free printable

I swear that this is the last button day - maybe!  There are just so many things to do with buttons.

My button basket has a permanent home on the shelf all year.  I find my buttons at Thrift shops and Walmart had a big bag of random buttons for a few $$ last fall.  The kidlets use the buttons for counting, sorting, as pretend money, to make "stew" ...

The dollar store has had some cool small buttons sets recently. I have also seen them in blue and purple.

Some days, I put out the buttons

and see what the kids will do.

This time they were sorting.  Other times, they make button patterns.

I made up a Pete's buttons patterning activity.

Click the images to print them.

Print, laminate, and pattern away!

  1. Playing in my mom's button stash when I was a kid was one of my favorite things to do. There's something so satisfying about playing with and organizing all those pretty buttons.

    1. It's even more fun when the buttons have family history.
