If you could live in any historical era, WHEN would you live?

I watch Downton Abbey.  Life looks pretty good.

But I think I need to be specific.

I would need to live upstairs.

Even upstairs, I need to be specific.

Cora is far too nice, child birth did not work out well for Sybil and Edith always gets dealt a poor hand in life events.

That leaves Mary or the Dowager Duchess.  

I could make that work.
